A Glimpse of What’s to Come

From 13 to 27 September 2026, Musica Viva – the festival for curious ears – once again invites audiences to Osnabrück and the surrounding region for two weeks of musical discovery. The new festival programme is shaped by thematic focal points, unusual concert concepts, and distinctive venues.

Look forward to inspiring musical encounters: grand vocal works and intimate chamber music, historical instruments and contemporary soundscapes, internationally acclaimed ensembles as well as projects featuring regional artists. Some formats bring music together with visual art, architecture, movement, or unique listening experiences. Others create new ways for audiences to engage with music beyond the traditional concert hall.

In 2026, Musica Viva remains a festival driven by curiosity: curiosity for unfamiliar works, extraordinary voices, unexpected venues, and powerful artistic experiences.

The full programme will be unveiled for the first time on 28 June 2026 during the Open House Day at the Forum Artium Academy in Georgsmarienhütte. Information about the event can be found here:
