Natur, Stille und Klang – Chormusik in der Industrie Kathedrale
Ensemble vocal Hamburg
Vokalconsort Osnabrück
Cornelius Trantow und Stephan Lutermann (conductors)
As part of the Musica Viva festival, listeners can look forward to an extraordinary concert that brings the magic of choral music to life in a unique, atmospheric space – the Museum of Industrial Culture in Osnabrück on the Piesberg. The Vokalconsort Osnabrück, conducted by Stephan Lutermann, and the Ensemble Vocal from Hamburg, conducted by Cornelius Trantow, meet in a fascinating dialogue. Both choirs have made a name for themselves with numerous international and national awards and will present an impressive programme in this concert that reflects the diversity of choral music from the Renaissance to modern times.
Concert-goers are invited to experience the works in various locations in the Museum of Industrial Culture in Osnabrück – each room a new sound space, whose acoustic presence brings the music to life in a special way. From the industrial shaft hall with its cathedral-like architecture to the foyer and the light hall, listeners discover the connection between nature, silence and the contrasts of industry.
The programme unfolds a journey from the gentle lullabies of nature to powerful sounds that permeate the industrial space, allowing visitors to experience the choirs both individually and together.
Rooms are transformed into music and the acoustic characteristics of the industrial cathedral merge with the sound of the voices. A sonic journey of discovery that brings you closer to the musicality and charm of these two outstanding choirs.
